Bill Hans, Director of Information Technology
Since coming to the school in February, 2004, Mr. Hans has been in charge of processing the data for enrollment, scheduling, attendance and grading of CUNY Prep students. Mr. Hans earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the City College of New York, a Master of Science degree in mathematics and computer science from the Courant Institute of Mathematics at New York University. He also completed the requirements for certification in teaching secondary school mathematics, at Lehman College. Mr. Hans has taught in private and public secondary schools, colleges and graduate schools in mathematics and computer science. He also held several prominent positions as a teacher, author and technical trainer in private industry. “I enjoy educating, whether in the classroom or in print, because of the look of understanding a student will get when he or she grasps a new idea and the excitement he or she gets when applying that concept, he said. Outside of work, Mr. Hans enjoys playing with his young grandsons. “I wish for both my grandsons the same I wish for the students of CUNY Prep; the ability to define achievable goals, determine what is necessary to achieve those goals and develop the skill to present themselves and their skills in a way that will enable them get where they need to be whether for fun or profit.” Andre Larmond, Information Technology Assistant
Mr. Larmond has been at CUNY Prep for three years, specializing in Information Technology. “I enjoy working with staff that care for our students and their future,” said Mr. Larmond. He graduated Louis D. Brandeis High School and TCI College, where he earned a degree in Digital Media Arts. He enjoys reading, going to the gym, as well as to the movies and comedy shows. |
